- The Distance Learning Course for the Training of UNESCO
Leaders CDFAUN has been elaborated by Florida Eskola, in 1992.
- After the recognition of the curriculum by the
San Sebastian UNESCO Centre, the Distance Learning Course for the Training of UNESCO
Leaders (CDFAUN) began in 1993.
- It was put in practice in the First UNESCO Leaders
Seminar in Spain, that took place in San Sebastián in July 24-28, 1993.
- It was recognised as a professional course in October
21, 1993.
- It was supported by the UNESCO in February 10, 1994.
- It was supported by the UN in April 9, 1996.
- The curriculum of the Distance Learning Course
for the Training of UNESCO Leaders (CDFAUN) was extended in September 1, 1996 and it was
named "The Distance Learning Course for the Training of UNESCO Leaders".
- The Distance Learning Course for the Training of UNESCO
Leaders (CDFAUN) began via Internet under the denomination of CIBERFAUN in the
first part of year 1997.

INTRODUCTION
- The San Sebastian UNESCO Centre organises the Distance Learning Course for the
Training of UNESCO Leaders (CDFAUN).
- The aim CDFAUN is to meet the training
demands of the UNESCO Development Expert Leaders and to contribute, by means of the
participation of the interested ones, to create the profile of a professional person
internationally recognised. At the same time, its intention is to articulate the purposes
of the system of the United Nations together with the scientific and technical
characteristics of the animation to impel the social, cultural and human development of
the communities.

OBJECTIVES
- To provide basic instruments guided to improve the
quality of the intervention in the communities of the professional UNESCO Development
Expert Leaders
- To respond to the educational and orientation in
international matters.
- To promote the suitable environment for the Leaders to
get the qualification in the analysis of the international problems.
- To help to be aware of the new world characteristics,
of the diversity of human communities and of the interdependence of the countries, as well
as of the relationships among the cultures.
- To be sensible with the causes and consequences of the
socio-political events;
- To analyse methods to face the human challenges as the
survival, the development, the poverty and the environment;
- To design plans and conducive activities to the
integral improvement of the quality of a modest and prosperous life in the human
communities, taking in consideration the purposes and guidelines of the system of the
United Nations;
- To ease the creation of a professional profile
internationally recognised .

self-evaluations of topics.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- The participation in the Course is subject to previous
registration sending the CV and a letter of support of your National
Commission to the Director of Course.

WHAT IS COURSE ABOUT?
It promotes the creation of UNESCO
Associations, Centers and Clubs and the participation in programs of the UNESCO.
Permit you to get be part of the World
Association of UNESCO Professional Leaders (AMUPRAUN) and to
access to The UNESCO Associates Ibero-American Organisation
(ORIBAUN).
The Course provides to train to the personnel of
UNESCO National Commissions, to members of UNESCO Clubs and teachers of
UNESCO Associated Schools and UNESCO Chairs.
GENERAL NORMS AND CONDITIONS
1.- The participation in the Course is sending the
CV to the San Sebastian UNESCO Centre
unescoeskola@ibercom.com and
the letter of support of you National Commission. To obtain the form click
here.
2.- The students will receive a folder with their study-task the
international papers dealing with the United Nations and the UNESCO's system, the
activities and works to be done on their own or in groups, the corresponding orientations
and the self-assessments.
4.- The Certificate given at the end of this
course is issued by the UNESCO Training Centre-Florida Eskola.

UNESCO and the UN, and has been recognised and approved by the San Sebastian UNESCO Centre
and the UNESCO's Director General (Resolutions of the 24/07/93; 10/02/94; 07/11/95;
